Kherson Weekly Special: Unmasking a Human Safari Drone Pilot
Ernest Spartakovich Strupinskiy, AKA "SUETA"

Photo: SUETA
This is not a normal edition of Kherson Weekly. In this edition, I present an exclusive look into the identity and history of a Russian drone operator and suspected war criminal fighting in the Kherson Direction. SUETA is a name familiar to my regular readers for his past association with the KHABR Group and my brief indulgences into the chaotic drama surrounding this character.
The KHABR Group is known for publishing some of the most gruesome attacks on civilians of any of the Russian drone groups involved in the Human Safari. Video and photographic evidence collected over the last year have shown them to be regular perpetrators of war crimes in Kherson, utilizing FPVs, Mavics, Vandal fiber-optic drones, and remote-mining practices.
Let’s dive into SUETA's personal background to get a fuller picture of who exactly this war criminal is, and then we will review his connection to the KHABR Group, accusations of fraud against him by his former comrades, and the brand new unit he is serving in now.

The Biography

Photo: SUETA, Erik Vaysov, Erik Vaysov
Name: Ernest Spartakovich Strupinskiy
Date of birth: 12 September 1998 (26 years old)
Photographs, mostly to do with his and his family’s past military service, presented by Strupinskiy himself on Telegram, helped to confirm his identity. One piece of evidence was a photo of both of his great-grandfathers shared to Telegram on 9 May in honor of “Victory Day.” His great-grandfather on the right-hand side shares the same surname, further confirming SUETA to be Strupinskiy.

Photo: SUETA
The best piece of evidence shared by Strupinskiy was a photo of himself published on 13 April, in which his full name was visible. He appears to be in his third year of studying State and Municipal Administration and achieved Honor Roll status despite serving in the Kherson Direction for the entire last year. In the comments section of this post, Strupinskiy confirmed his identity and claimed “the Khokhols have my data anyway.”

Photo: SUETA
Other posts shared by Strupinskiy show that Ernest is a product of the Russian militarization of the youth. Strupinskiy admits to being involved with paramilitary youth organizations when he was as young as 12 years-old (shown in uniform on the left). Subsequently in his teenage years, it appears he attended a Russian Naval Academy based on his dress uniform and those of his superiors (shown on the right). The uniforms are Soviet Naval uniforms from the Second World War and he shared the photo on 10 May, indicating this was from his school’s “Victory Day” ceremony 9 years ago in 2016.

Stand-up Comedy
Photo: SUETA
One way we were able to confirm Strupinskiy’s identity was through his hobby of stand-up comedy, which he used to regularly perform in his hometown of Maikop, Adygea Republic, as well as Krasnodar.
On 6 March, Strupinskiy posted a photo of him performing stand-up comedy and described his past life:
SUETA, why do you have such great relationships with all your fellow soldiers at the front? Because I know how to raise their morale. Sometimes with words, sometimes with deeds, and sometimes with a good joke.
Before the SVO, one of my hobbies was hobbyhorsing stand-up. Then I thought that the hardest thing was to go out in front of an unfamiliar audience, hold a pause, and present the material on time. But now I understand that real improvisation is not on stage, but here, on the front lines. Here, too, the pace, reaction, and sense of the moment are important. Only if you make a mistake in stand-up, the maximum is silence in the audience. And here, silence is when it's all over.
My audience has changed quite a bit) In stand-up, the main thing is for the audience to laugh, but here - for the audience not to have time.
To confirm, we consulted Strupinskiy’s Instagram where he posted a few reels of his performances prior to the full-scale invasion, geotagged to the Rock Bar in Krasnodar. His jokes mention his military service occasionally.
SUETA & The KHABR Group

Photo: SUETA
The KHABR Group’s channel first went online on 6 September 2024, but the group was established a year ago in May 2024. Still, it wasn’t until 12 September that a post was made–a post in which SUETA introduced himself and his drone team’s war crimes to the world.
Greetings, Khabr comrades!
When our "KHABR" was created in May 2024, we had no idea how quickly we would turn into a well-coordinated fighting machine, where everyone has their place, and every step brings us closer to victory. Over these months, we have proven that our approach works.
There are no extra people or unnecessary actions. Everyone - from Mavic operators to engineers collecting ammunition - does their job with full dedication. We are here to show you how work is done, how the enemy is defeated.
Many of you see only the result on the battlefield, but few think about the colossal work hidden behind every successful drone flight or accurate FPV strike. I want you to know: behind each of our strikes are people who work day and night on preparation, engineering thought, combat planning. Drone operators, copter firmware developers, sapper-engineers - each of them plays a key role in this mechanism.
My call sign is "SUETA", and I don't just run this channel - I happened to be part of a combined squad . I saw it all with my own eyes: how hard engineers work, how FPV drone operators carry out strike work, how combat groups in the field harmoniously carry out their tasks. My task is to show you not only victories, but also the colossal work that lies behind them. Together, we will monitor all the changes on the front line, the latest developments and tactics.
The time to hide behind the ordinary has passed, hustle comrades. We are on the front line - physically and informationally. This channel will become your window into the real picture of what is happening. Keep in line, go to the goal!
Your "SUETA"
Conveniently, SUETA shared a compilation video of his service in the Russian military thus far on his Telegram on the day of writing this article. It presents the audience with a montage of an idealized time at the front.
Video: SUETA
In the video, several strikes in Kherson can be seen from his time flying FPVs in the KHABR Group. Additional footage comes from his travels around Occupied Territory and interactions with his German Shepherd, Gerda, and his cat, Goofy. Clips from his recent service in a new unit are also included. If you weren’t acquainted with the KHABR Group or the Human Safari, then this video might seem perfectly normal and even wholesome to those unaware of his actions.
So let us juxtapose that with the other side of reality shared by SUETA and the KHABRites themselves.
Crimes with KHABR Group
Below is a selection of evidence depicting suspected war crimes, shared by the channel KHABR|BpLA, A.K.A. SUETA AT THE FRONT.

10.24.2024
A civilian vehicle traveling at night falls victim to remote-mining laid by the KHABR Group at a crucial chokepoint—a railway crossing. The landmines damage and slow the vehicle, allowing the drone to perform a skid-drop on the people exiting the vehicle. A thermal-vision FPV drone hits the vehicle to destroy it.

SUETA’s Victims
From a statistical point of view, if we look at the area in which KHABR operate, which is roughly from Antonivka to Poniativka, we can estimate approximately the amount of civilian casualties that SUETA and the KHABR Group are responsible for directly and indirectly.
Photo: SUETA
The following villages listed with their civilian casualty totals below are included within the KHABR Groups 10km radius depicted above and occurred within the time frame of 6 September 2024 to 4 January 2025.
The first date marks the creation of the original KHABR channel (now titled SUETA AT THE FRONT), indicating their deployment to the area of operations. Despite the KHABR group being created in May, I felt it best to be conservative for the sake of accuracy. The second date marks the day which SUETA officially separate from the KHABR Group, despite the KHABR Group not making their own separate channel until 6 March.
*NOTE: “Misc. Shelling” refers to all casualties caused by artillery, multiple rocket launchers, tank fire, mortars, automatic grenade launchers, and aerial bombing. “Drones” refers to all casualties caused by FPV, Mavic, Vandal, or Molniya drone attacks. “UXO” refers to all casualties caused by any kind of unexploded ordnance, landmine, or improvised explosive device.
Antonivka
Misc. Shelling: 8 killed, 39 wounded
Drones: 11 killed, 136 wounded
UXO: 2 wounded
Dariivka
Misc. Shelling: 1 killed, 3 wounded
Inhulets
Misc. Shelling: 9 wounded
Inzhenerne
Misc. Shelling: 5 wounded
Drones: 1 killed, 2 wounded
Mykilske
Misc. Shelling: 4 killed, 5 wounded
Drones: 1 killed, 2 wounded
Naddnipryanske
Drones: 1 wounded
Poniativka
Misc. Shelling: 1 killed, 6 wounded
Drones: 3 wounded
Sadove
Misc. Shelling: 7 wounded
Drones: 1 killed, 8 wounded
Zelenivka
Misc. Shelling: 2 killed, 17 wounded
Drones: 3 wounded
Total: 278 (30 killed, 248 wounded)
Misc. Shelling: 16 killed, 91 wounded
Drones: 14 killed, 155 wounded
UXO: 2 wounded
Data: Brendan Kelley
One caveat to these numbers are the Antonivka casualties. It must be noted that Antonivka marks a boundary of their area of operations and a couple more drone groups have also been geolocated to operate in Antonivka. That said, the most vicious attacks on film from KHABR Group while SUETA was still a member, took place in Antonivka. With that understanding, we must understand that KHABR Group was not responsible for or linked to all casualty events in Antonivka, but was certainly linked to some based on visual evidence shared by the drone team. Even though we know KHABR Group and SUETA carried out attacks there, it’s impossible to attribute each attack to them. So this presents a much more conservative estimate, albeit one that is definitely missing dozens of attacks they carried out in Antonivka.
Total w/o Antonivka:
Misc. Shelling: 8 killed, 52 wounded
Drones: 3 killed, 19 wounded
Data: Brendan Kelley
In order to really hone in on SUETA’s most likely victims, the villages of Sadove and Mykilske should be the target of further investigations. Andrew Perpetua’s Ukraine Daily Update Map has geolocated the KHABR Group and SUETA AT THE FRONT to these two villages more than anywhere else, aside from the Antonivskyi Bridge area. Between the two villages 2 civilians were killed and another 10 injured by Russian drone attacks when SUETA was serving as a pilot in their ranks. There were also 4 civilians killed and another 12 casualties from miscellaneous shelling, mostly likely spotted by the KHABR Group in the same time frame. These casualties are the most likely of all reported casualties to have been caused solely by the KHABR Group or SUETA, either directly through drone strikes or indirectly through their cooperation with other Russian units for which they were conducting reconnaissance. This is a conservatively estimated floor for civilian casualties likely impacted by the group while SUETA was still a member.

СУЕТА НА…ХУЙ? – Drama & Exit from KHABR

Photos: SUETA, KHABR
Prior to striking out on his own and gaining a following of over 10,000 on Telegram, SUETA started as the main administrator of the channel once titled “KHABR|BpLA.” The KHABR Group are regular posters of Russian drone strikes, mostly geolocated to an area of operations between Antonivka and Poniativka in Kherson Raion. The channel by that name was renamed as “SUETA AT THE FRONT” and serves as his main channel. After controversy, allegations of fraud, and online drama, the KHABR Group cut ties with SUETA to form its own channel created on 6 March 2025.
SUETA described the situation and announced the creation of “SUETA AT THE FRONT” in a Telegram post from 27 February.
Soldiers, it's time to share the news.
As many of you already know, I separated from the "KHABR" squad and now continue to serve in another unit. Time goes by, tasks change, but one thing remains unchanged - the desire to do my job and share with you what is happening on the front lines.
I want to wish good luck to the old squad. We have been through a lot, worked together, supported each other, and I sincerely hope that they will continue their work with the same strength with which we started. Let everything work out for them the way they want it to be.
But I will say one thing, the 18th Army is the ELITE.
Now I have a new page in front of me, a new squad, new soldiers nearby. A change of scenery is always a challenge, but also an opportunity to learn something new, test yourself, become better. Soon a new chapter will begin, and I will share with you not only stories from familiar comrades, but also my new everyday life.
Now the channel has a new name - "SUETA AT THE FRONT | UAV" . We continue to work, follow the news!
Accusations of Fraud
Questions arose amongst Russian fundraisers about SUETA’s personal use of donated funds intended for the whole KHABR Team. Accusations were levied by a YouTuber, RuTuber, war crime supporter, and Russian musician named “Odnoy Krovy” or “One Blood.”
Photo: Odnoy Krovy
A bit of necessary background on Odnoy Krovy: Odnoy Krovy’s typical content features him live streaming and playing ultranationalist songs, while viewers chat-roulette with him one-on-one. One of his goals is to attract pro-Russian nationalists who will donate to him, supposedly to support these drone groups financially and materially. Although, in reality, much of his content revolves in harassing Ukrainians who happen to end up randomly rotating into the role of the audience member. He revels in the anger, frustration, and pain of the Ukrainians forced to listen to his songs that glorify Russian aggression against Ukraine. For example, Odnoy Krovyi often plays a theme song for the KHABR Group on live streams to intimidate and harass Ukrainians. Here’s a performance from 14 April 2025.
Video: Odnoy Krovy
This song is actually essential to our story. The song was written by one of Odnoy Krovy’s friends and fellow war crime musician, Artyom Kaliyanov. In December 2024, Odnoy Krovy and Kaliyanov were touring the Occupied Territories and performing for Russian invaders. They made connections with the KHABR Group via Telegram sometime in early October through a friend of Odnoy Krovy’s named “Taisk.”

Photos: Artyom Kaliyanov, Artyom Kaliyanov
Here is a clip from their shared producer, Denis, of a performance of the KHABR theme at a fundraiser for the drone group on 15 December 2024. It’s mildly entertaining, despite the song’s abhorrent context, as Kaliyanov makes several mistakes in singing his own song and Odnoy Krovy awkwardly stands in the periphery.
Video: Denis DME “For Our Own”
Additionally, they gave away a signed guitar with both of their names on it to one of the KHABR Group members and posed for a group photo.

On 4 January 2025, SUETA wrote a parting post for the KHABR subscribers and explained he’d been accused of financial fraud.
Call sign "SUETA" on the line. Let's talk frankly.
I was transferred to another unit. But my channel, which I ran to maintain the spirit of the HABR fighters, stayed with me. This channel grew before your eyes: I wrote posts, ran streams, maintained communication with subscribers, negotiated cooperation with bloggers, drew attention to our cause. Thanks to you and this work, the channel became not just noticeable - it turned into a real platform for helping fighters and people who need it.
And now there is talk of "sharing the channel".
Let's figure it out. The guys from HABR, whom I respect, have already tried to run their own channels. But, unfortunately, things did not work out. It is not their fault - they are professionals on the front lines, not in the media. But is it worth breaking what we have built together because of this?
Let's be honest: the channel has become what it is thanks to my work and your trust. And now I have to just give everything that we have created together to those who do not understand how to work with an audience?
They started accusing me of pursuing personal gain. Well, let's look at the facts. I spent my money on developing the channel, helping the fighters, supporting people. And what did those who accuse me do? They started selling T-shirts and collecting money for antennas. This is not a condemnation - the fighters need resources. But does this give them the right to make such accusations?
I, "SUETA", will stay with you. The channel will continue to live and grow. We will talk about those who help, about good deeds, about real life in the SVO. I will visit other units, work and tell the truth.
Thank you for your support. Together we will achieve a lot.
It wasn’t long after this that Odnoy Krovy came forward with his allegations of fraud against SUETA. He claims Denis, Artyom Kaliyanov, himself, and others all decided not to support KHABR anymore due to SUETA’s administration of the channel and its fundraising efforts.

Photo: SUETA
Translation:
Odnokroviki, it is very sad to tell you such news, but the TG channel of our friends Khabr Team/UAV, to which many of us subscribed thanks to the last trip of Alexey, Zhenya, Artyom, Ali and Denis, no longer belongs to our brothers and has become another commercial project. All the guys left there. We are not calling anyone to anything, draw conclusions and decide for yourself whether to stay on this channel or not.
SUETA responded on 17 January and made reference to an old commander of his, who he claims is holding a grudge against him. I can’t be sure of this yet, but one working theory I am still pursuing is that “Taisk” is SUETA’s former commander. Speculation aside, after painting himself as a scapegoat for the former commander, SUETA turned the allegations of profiteering from donations back onto Odnoy Krovy.
There is one project in our circle called "Odnoy Krovy". Its admin, who is acquainted with my former commander from "KHABR", decided to add fuel to the fire out of old friendship. He tells everyone that there is supposedly a financial interest in my channel, supposedly turning it into a commercial project.
But you know what's the funniest thing? It is their project that actually makes money for the SVO. Constant collections for humanitarian aid, selling goods at inflated prices, and even of low quality. And recently it turned out that they also make money on songs by foreign agents who openly support the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They promote these tracks, popularize them, get more plays, and thus only increase the income of those who finance military actions against us.
And it turns out that they attribute to me something that never happened. The channel has always been based on honest work, real help to fighters and ordinary people. Without profit, without unnecessary pathos. We work for those who believe in us. And for the rest - the facts always speak for themselves.
Tomorrow I will share more interesting news about "One Blood" and tell you what our fighters think about them. The opinion of those on the front lines sometimes says more than any words.
Your "SUETA"
SUETA never followed up on his promise to unveil Odnoy Krovy as an embezzling hooligan “tomorrow” and instead he posted poetry and video of animals on 18 January. Furthermore, given that SUETA was removed from the KHABR Group and admitted to his transfer to another unit, it suggests he may have faced disciplinary action for either causing such a scene in the information space or was actually punished for fraudulent financial practices.
Additionally, Odnoy Krovy and Kaliyanov have both reconnected with the KHABR Group post-departure of SUETA from the team. For example, just recently Kaliyanov released this horrifically lip-synched and cringe-worthy music video for “KHABR” in honor of “Victory Day.”
Video: Kaliyanov
But the saga did not end after SUETA’s departure and initial concession, as SUETA published his own set of accusations against Odnoy Krovy on 6 April, accusing the musician of selling counterfeit morale patches for profit and playing songs that are too closely linked to Ukrainian identity on his live streams. Regardless of who was right or wrong, who was a thief or not, SUETA was pushed out of KHABR by February 2025 and remains a war criminal nonetheless.
SUETA Resurfaces: KRAB

Photo: KRAB
SUETA’s transfer was not merely between drone units or even brigades, but actually he was transferred between Combined Arms Armies, moving from the 18th CAA to the 49th CAA. SUETA joined a brand new Russian unit called the Integrated Electronic Anti-Drone Warfare Unit "KRAB”—a seemingly unique Russian C-UAS (Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems) unit subordinate to the 49th CAA. SUETA first discussed the new unit’s role on the front in a post on his Telegram channel on 29 March:
In the Kherson direction, in the zone where every dawn brings new challenges and trials, a special unit with a laconic but telling name - "KRAB" operates. These fighters tenaciously and relentlessly guard the section of the front entrusted to them, performing a task on which the safety of our positions and the lives of our soldiers directly depend: suppression of enemy unmanned aerial vehicles, which have become a real scourge of modern warfare.
The work of "KRAB" is not just shooting at drones. This is a complex of activities, including constant monitoring of airspace, target identification, analysis of their trajectories and, of course, effective destruction. Their arsenal includes modern electronic warfare systems capable of blinding and knocking enemy UAVs off course, as well as traditional small arms used to hit targets in close combat.
The courage and professionalism of the KRAB fighters allow them to successfully counter massive attacks by kamikaze drones and reconnaissance drones, preventing the enemy from obtaining valuable information about our positions and plans. Their work is an invisible but extremely important contribution to the overall victory, providing our troops with freedom of maneuver and the ability to effectively carry out assigned tasks.
I am proud to work in this group to counter heavy enemy UAVs.
This transfer has actually brought SUETA further into the spotlight, as he has now accumulated over 10,000 subscribers on his channel. Since joining KRAB, SUETA has also made several high-profile media appearances to discuss KRAB’s role in the Kherson Direction, such as a report for Rossiya 1 News. Seen for the first time in this report is the unit insignia on his shoulder.
Photo: Smotrim.ru
The Integrated Electronic Anti-Drone Warfare Unit “KRAB” carries out a variety of C-UAS tasks according to the unit’s claims on social media, but there was never much evidence published by the unit themselves of their own operations—until now.
C-UAS Operations

Photo: KRAB
On 18 May, the day before writing, KRAB shared their first organic video of what they claim to be intercepted video feeds of Ukrainian drones being downed via their C-UAS EW operations in the Kherson Direction. SUETA shared it on his own channel as well. At least 9 Ukrainian FPV drones are disrupted by the unit’s jamming in the group’s first video, showcasing their operations in the Kherson Direction.
Video: KRAB
Most of these appear to be FPV drones spiraling out of control due to Russian electronic interference. Given that they’ve only just shared their first examples of C-UAS operations, much still needs to be learned about this group and SUETA’s continued service in their ranks.
One final piece of information we can take from the video is at the end of the video. The official flag of the Russian Electronic Warfare Troops is displayed, confirming the unit’s classification as officially an Electronic C-UAS detachment.

Final Thoughts
Ernest Spartakovich Strupinskiy, callsign “SUETA,” is not just an incompetent fraudulent online edge-lord at war—he is by now one of the proud architects of Russia’s Human Safari in Kherson Oblast. He is both the perpetrator and the narrator, packaging war crimes as front-line grit and bravado, blending snuff films and self-promotion to the mass appeal of his increasingly racist and bloodthirsty audiences. His own digital footprint tells a damning story: a young man who documents civilian deaths with the same tone he once used to deliver punchlines at a dive bar in Krasnodar. The juxtaposition of his self-made propaganda and the gory evidence of KHABR’s inhumanity strips away any remaining question of his culpability.
SUETA is a product of militarized youth programs, a graduate of the Russian performance of patriotic education, and now, an unrepentant contributor to the Human Safari. His exit from the KHABR Group, though framed as amicable and even noble, should not be mistaken as a step away from atrocity. His new platform, SUETA AT THE FRONT, is a continuation of the same violence—rebranded and repackaged with his new crew in KRAB.
Through the KHABR Group and now as a pioneering member of KRAB and media personality, SUETA has helped curate an aesthetic of cruelty—crafting a digital legacy built on targeting non-combatants and using mutilated bodies as bait. His own videos, the geolocations, and the casualty reports from Kherson and its surrounding villages reveal a consistent pattern of deliberate attacks on all aspects of civilian life.
The cost of his actions can be measured not in views or followers, but in the 278 documented civilian casualties across the KHABR Group’s area of operations in Kherson Raion.
For Ernest, there awaits a jail cell or hell—whichever comes first.
Kherson will NEVER be a Russian city.
